THE INDIANA ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGE ADMISSION COUNSELING
is a professional organization of counseling professionals dedicated to serving students as they explore options and make choices about pursuing post-secondary education. Its mission is to establish and maintain high professional standards in college admissions guidance in the secondary schools and colleges.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2021-22 INDIANA CULTURAL OPPORTUNITY NETWORK ARE NOW AVAILABLE
The INACAC Inclusion, Access, and Success (IAS) Committee is pleased to announce that the application for the 2021-22 Indiana Cultural Opportunity Network (ICON) program is now live! The program is designed to educate both secondary and post-secondary Admissions & School Counseling professionals in areas of student equity, access, and success.
ICON gives you tools to challenge and strengthen your knowledge of student needs and the barriers to higher education within Indiana and beyond. Participants should expect to attend monthly meetings, the IAS sponsored Transitions Conference, and the INACAC Annual Conference. To apply, please submit a completed application by July 15, 2021. If selected, cohort members will be required to submit the Leadership Approval Contract and $100 participation fee.
Full participation in all ICON related programming is extraordinarily important. Please ensure you can be fully committed to all components of ICON prior to applying.
Please contact the committee at email@example.com if you have questions.
FAFSA DEADLINE EXTENDED
The Commission for Higher Education (CHE) has extended the Indiana filing deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beyond the April 15th deadline. The change is a direct response of the novel coronavirus.
Students who did not complete a 2021-22 FAFSA by April 15th needed to submit an application online at studentaid.gov by May 15, 2021.
The extension will honor the 21st Century Scholarship and Frank O'Bannon Grant.
